Sonny Smith

Benny “Sonny” Smith, 79, of Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., passed away Oct. 14, 2017. He was a member of the Daisy Church of God. Sonny was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired carpenter and a 50-year member of Carpenters Local Union 74. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Gunnie Smith; brothers, Clifford Randolph and William Boots; and sisters, Geraldine Painter and Dot Poe. Survivors include his wife, Louise Manning Smith; three sons, Scott (Pam) Smith, Travis (Debbie) Smith and Dustin Smith; two grandchildren, Tyler Smith and Kaitlin Smith; a special niece, Vickie Spiegelhalter along with several other nieces and nephews. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Caleb Bolton officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
