Ronald Davidson

OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — Ronald “Dave” Eldridge Davidson, formerly of Chattanooga, Tenn., died Oct. 2, 2017. He was born Jan. 27, 1933, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Claude and Flora (Millwood) Davidson. Mr. Davidson proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. He worked with Bell System for 34 years. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Palm Beach Gardens, the Masonic Lodge, and enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad, fishing on his pontoon boat, model trains, coin collecting, and buying homes to remodel for use as rental properties. Mr. Davidson is survived by his wife of 36 years, Fran (Robinson) Davidson, of Okeechobee; daughter, Rhonda Ross (Mark), of Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren, Joy and Erin; three great-grandsons; sister, Barbara Jean Goins, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and nephews, Troy Goins and Richard Goins. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, from 11 a.m. until services at noon at Tillman Funeral Home, 2170 S. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415. Interment will follow at South Florida National Cemetery.
