Linda Silvers

ROSSVILLE — Linda “Darlene” Silvers, 65, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017. She had lived in the Chattanooga and North Georgia areas for most of her life and was a member of The City Church in Chattanooga. Darlene loved traveling with her family, going to the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands were just a couple of her favorite places to visit. She loved singing gospel music and spending time with her family and friends is what brought joy to her heart. She was employed with Chick-Fil-A for more than 10 years and also worked at Park Place Restaurant for more than 11 years. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Garner and son, Timothy Scott Hampton. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 41 years, Charles Silvers, of Rossville, Ga.; father, Earl Vogel Garner, of Ringgold, Ga.; two children, Tina Lynn Hampton, of Chattanooga, Tenn., Charles Edward Silvers Jr., and Riannon Smith, of Rossville, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Cindy Ball, of Ringgold, Ga.; three grandchildren, Britney Thomas, Chris Thomas, T.J. Hampton and Hanna Hatfield; great-granddaughter, Emma Downey; and numerous extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Services and burial will be private. Online guest book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
