Robert Brewster

CHICKAMAUGA — Robert Edward Brewster, 73, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017. He was born to the late Gordon D. and Ida Pauline Norris Brewster in DeKalb Co., Ala., and was a member of Pilgrim Way Baptist Church. He retired from the City of Chickamauga in 2007 after more than 32 years. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Ivan Brewster and brother, LaDon Brewster. Robert is survived by his loving wife, of 53 years, Ann Brewster; children, Carol Brewster, JoAnn (Leon) Lawson and Bobby (Jessica Pierce) Brewster; brother, David Brewster; grandchildren, Scott Henderson, Sheena Wilburn, Brooke Gadd, and Bradley Brewster; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Bill O’Neal officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J. Avery Bryan Chapel, Chickamauga.
