Iva Church

KIMBALL — Iva Jean Brown Church, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at a local nursing home. The daughter of the late Spencer Burton Brown and Nellie Jane Fredrick Brown, she was a member of the Eastern Star and the Gum Springs Congregational Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Martin Church Jr.; four sisters, Annie Belle Brown, Mildred Meeks, Lucy Nelene Rogers and Susie Mae Childers; and four brothers, Clarence Edward Brown, James Brown, Howard Brown and Leon Brown; and son-in-law, Pete Wilkerson. She is survived by four children, Brenda Wilkerson, of Kimball, James (Terri) Church, Jerry (Martha) Church both, of South Pittsburg, and Beverly (Jim) Lee, of Stevenson, Ala.; nine grandchildren, Kelly Wilkerson, Lonnie (Kristin) Wilkerson, both of Nashville, Tenn., Amy (Drew) Carver, of South Pittsburg, David (Joni) Church, of Kimball, Matthew (Brett) Church, Abby (Matt) Massengale, all of South Pittsburg, Tenn., Derrick Rogers, of Ann Arbor, Mich., Dustin Rogers, of Hixson, Tenn., and Corey Rogers, of Stevenson, Ala.; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis Brown and William Duke Brown, both of Coalmont, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 2 p.m. CT on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, with Rev. Ronnie Case officiating. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball. The family will receive friends for visitation today from 4 to 7 p.m. CT at the funeral home.
