Patsy Layne

Patsy Ruth Layne, 85, of Chattanooga was re-united with her late husband, Delmar Lee Layne, in Heaven on Good Friday, March 30, 2018. Patsy was a loving Mother and homemaker. She enjoyed military life and traveling with her family. In later years she obtained her Class C Drivers License and loved traveling across the country with Del for various companies. In addition to traveling, Patsy loved music and was an accomplished musician. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ora and Orion Evans; sisters, Loraine Hatfield, Ray Dean Jones, and JoAnn Evans. She will be missed by her family; daughter, Denean Layne (David) Denny, of Chickamauga, Ga., grandson, Carson Denny; daughter, Janna G. (Danny ) Icenhour, of Bristol, Tenn., son, Rick D. (Linda) Layne, of Hixson Tenn., their children, Chad (Amy) Nave, Sheena (Adam) Mullis; grandchildren, Adam, Sara, Simon, Jeffery, Lexi, Isaiah, and many nieces and nephews and friends. In special appreciation of Mrs. Tabitha Moses for the loving care she gave Patsy. Visitation will be on Monday, April 2, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hixson, with funeral services following in the funeral home chapel at 6 p.m with Lay Minister Lamar Fine officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018, from 11 to Noon followed by a burial at Chattanooga National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Disabled American Veterans or a charity of choice.
