Maxine Sedman

Maxine “Mackie” Kidwell Sedman, 89, of Ooltewah, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a member of the Church of Christ and worshiped with the Ooltewah Congregation. She taught children bible classes for most of her life and taught eight years in the Tuesday - Thursday school program with the Brainerd Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Dessie Goins Kidwell; husband, Clyde “Sonny” Sedman;; sister, Clara Jo Case and a brother, Charles Kidwell. Survivors include four sons, Charlie Sedman, Hillsborough, N.C., Jimmy Sedman and Tommy Sedman both of Chattanooga, Sammy Sedman, Harrison and one daughter, Lynda Frazier, Harrison; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Hills Church of Christ. Interment will in Greenwood Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. Contributions may be made to your favorite charity. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
