Bernard Jeffers

Bernard H. Jeffers, 69, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. He was a member of Bayside Baptist Church in Harrison, Tenn., where he served as deacon for many years and served in the children’s Sunday School Ministry for 35 years. He worked at W. R. Grace where he retired after 40 years ofservice as a chemical operator. Bernard was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ova and Maudie Mae Jeffers of Pioneer, Tenn.; father-in- law and mother-in-law, Lennis and Leta June Lay of Pioneer, Tenn. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lenita Jeffers; brothers, Hilton Jeffers and wife Faye of Pioneer, Tenn., and Michael Jeffers and wife Tina of Huntsville, Tenn.; sister, Sharon White and husband Gordon; sister-in-law, Debra Lay all of Pioneer, Tenn.; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
