Bradetta Blackwell

DALTON — Bradetta Nicole Blackwell, 32, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. She was born on Dec. 31, 1985, to Charlene Michelle Truitt and the late Brad Blackwell. She was a 2004 graduate from the Chattanooga School of Arts and Science. Her maternal grandparents, Lillie Belle Truitt and Charlie Jones Truitt, and great-grandparents, Robert Blackwell, Rachel Blackwell, and Annie Truitt, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Dagg, of Aventura, Fla.; son, Justice Antonio Mathews, of Dallas, Texas; mother, Charlene Michelle Jones; two sisters, Tyus Vee Jones and Kline S. Jones, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; five brothers, Caravelle, Carzelle, of Ohio, Scott Blackwell, Shannon Blackwell, and Jermaine Blackwell, of Dalton, Ga.; grandparents, Delores (Robert “Bob”) Jones; three aunts, Jetuiin (Frank) Mcleod, of Vidalia, Ga., ReeAnn (Min. O’Bryant) Macon, of Cartersville, Ga., and Tracia (Jeff) Coats, of LaFayette, Ga.; two uncles, Michael Morris and Charles Truitt, of LaFayette; mother-in-law, Janet Cousin; sister-in-law, Jacqueline Wallace and Jasmine Dagg; stepfather, George Larry Jones, of Chattanooga; two best friends, Shari Brewer of Atlanta, Ga., and Jabrae Watts, of Chattanooga; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Celebration the Life Service for Bradetta will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel with Min. Kelvert Scruggs, Min. Eric K. Jones, and other ministers officiating. Her remains will lie-in-state at the funeral home on Friday after 11 a.m. and the family will receive friends one hour before the service. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
