Kathleen Carver

Kathleen Butcher Carver, 90, of Chickamauga, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018. She was born to the late Clyde L. and Mae Bell Hickey Butcher in Flintstone, has been a lifelong resident of Chickamauga and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She retired in 1981 from C D General as a seamstress and was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, who will be greatly missed. Kathleen was also preceded in death by her husband, Leonard B. Carver and 5 sisters. She is survived by her sons, Edward Carver and Jimmy (Debbie) Carver, grandchildren, Shane Nichols, Christy Wallin, Alicia Carver and Keisha Bates, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. John Bemus officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday. The family would like to thank the staff of Parkside Nursing Center and Kendra Creed for the care and compassion shown to Kathleen during this difficult time. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J.
