Sara Gentry

Sara Patricia Gentry, 83, of Ooltewah, Tenn., died Dec. 15, 2018. She was a devoted wife, mother, and a dearly beloved “Grammy”. She was born in 1935 in Chattanooga a daughter of the late Jack Rector and Ethel Rowe Rector. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Lebron Gentry; and a brother, Jack Conley Rector. She was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church. Left behind to cherish Pat’s memory are her children, Carol Fincher, Kay G. Steele, Bill (Linda) Gentry, and Tim (Darice) Gentry; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a private burial in the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Pat’s memory to the Ronald McDonald House or the charity of your choice.
