Wllliam Whitley

HIGDON — William "Bill" Ralph Whitley (aka Jr) age 88 of Higdon died Wednesday, December 19th. Funeral services are Friday at 11 am ct at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Charles Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Higdon cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1 to 8 pm Thursday and 9 am until service time on Friday. Survivors include daughters, Charlotte Mitchell(Jr "Bean"), Theresa Adams, Bonnie Gentry, Belinda Anderson(Johnny), Becky Simmons(Scott), sons, Don Whitley, Billy Whitley(Tura), Brian Whitley(Toni), siblings, Joe Whitley(Jackie), Carol Sharpton(Wendell), Glen Whitley(Francis), Douglas Whitley, Calvin Whitley(Betty), Charles Whitley, Helen Townsend(Steve), Stanley Whitley(Lisa), Marlene Buff(Michael), 13 grandchildren, 17 1/2 Great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter. Mr. Whitley served as a Field Medic in the U S Air Force and was a member of Rosalie Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ralph Emerson and Jessie Alma Whetzell Whitley, wife, Donna Whitley, infant daughter, Brenda Lee Whitley and previous wife, Gladys Hunt.
