Rena Yocom
Rena Angelina Yocom, 95, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed
away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018.
She retired in 1988 as a self-employed beautician after 28
years. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and was a regular volunteer with Ladies of Charity, and a member of Quilters.
Mrs. Yocom was a hospital volunteer for more 30 years and most recently served more than 7500 hours with the Memorial Healthcare System Auxiliary in Chattanooga, where
she received the President’s Volunteer Service award.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert Vincent Yocom; parents, Joseph and Jennie Bartolozzi; one sister, Edda Saputo, of Springfield, Ill.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Teresa) Yocom, Chattanooga; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Martin and Mrs. Alda
Bretz, both of Springfield, Ill.; one brother, John (Barbara) Bartolozzi, Glenarm, Ill.; one granddaughter, Stephanie (Justin) Gelabert, Chattanooga; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A private memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s with inurnment to follow.
