Ila Butler

CHICKAMAUGA — Mrs. Ila Ruth Butler, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018. Mrs. Butler lived in the area for over 40 years and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by parents, William and Bama Martin Lucas; husband, Raymond Butler; siblings, Delano Lucas, John “Rusty” Lucas, W.C. Lucas, Clovis Deal and Cybil Wilkerson. Survivors include children, Steve (Lynn) Butler, Mike(Ann) Butler, and Linda Branam; sisters, Kerry Foley and Betty Chambliss, brother, Don Lucas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. David Sampson officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday and prior to the service on Monday.
