Cora "Mae" Narmore

LaFAYETTE — Cora "Mae" Cannon Narmore, 90, went home to be with The Lord Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017. She was born in Walker County to the late Claude W. and Annie Mae Cannon Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Walker County and was a member of Center Pointe Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be truly missed. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and especially taking care of her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband James Albert Narmore Sr; son Benny F. DeBord and brother, Claude William "Junior" Cannon Jr. Mae is survived by her loving children George W. DeBord, James Albert (Ruby) Narmore Jr, Candace N. (Ricky) Archer all of LaFayette; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and a nephew. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m.Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, in the chapel with Pastors Jimmy Powell and Ernest Groce officiating. Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery-LaFayette, Georgia.
