Cathy Garner

TRENTON — Cathy Elaine Garner, 69, died Friday, Jan. 19, at Dade Health and Rehab. A memorial service will be Sunday at 6 p.m. CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jody Marston officiating.  Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until service time. Survivors include children, Tony Rogers (Sandy), Terry Rogers, Angela Chambers (Jeff), Pam Rogers (Dale Bradford), Teresa Rogers, Matilda Marker (Phillip); grandchildren, Melissa Rogers, Michael Rogers, Jeff Weldon (Cortney), Jessica Ellis (Michael), Courtney Sharp (Hunter), Cayla Chambers, B J Carter (Paige), Josh Carter (Merry); 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Evonne Burns (Jerry); several nieces and nephews. Ms. Garner retired from the State of Alabama as a Civil Engineer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Newton Virgil and Effie Magdalene Orr Thacker; nephews, Aaron Smith and Erik Smith.
