Daniel Ledford

Daniel Roger Ledford, 71, a resident of Chattanooga, TN passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Memorial Hospital. He was born on Dec. 7, 1946, in Athens, TN as son of the late Ivan & Mildred Ledford. Roger was a resident of Meigs County for most of his life. He was of the Christian Faith. Roger was a retired truck driver who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his wife Vera Ledford. Roger leaves behind to cherish his memory one son Steve Price (Christy) of Ooltewah, TN, two daughters Tammi Howard (Jimmy) of Hixson and Linda Sue Price, six grandchildren Alex Price (Ashley), Jared Price, Jordan Price, Megan Whited (Ryan), Robert Howard (Amy) and Austen Howard, cousins Barbara Cavender (Terry) of Decatur, TN and Preston Adams (Rhonda), numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends. A celebration of his life is planned for Monday, July 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with Pastor Bobby Joe Adamson and Pastor Floria Adamson officiating. Interment will follow in the Beta Cemetery in Meigs County with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 p.m. until the 1 p.m. service at the funeral home also. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made in Roger’s memory to the Beta Cemetery Fund.
