Chip Laudone
Anthony Robert “Chip” Laudone Jr., 78, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Saturday,
June 2, 2018. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Chip served his
country in the U.S. Navy as a medic on the USS Enterprise (CVN-65) and was a
veteran of the Vietnam War. After retiring from Nichols Food Service as Vice
President of Sales, he started woodcarving, which became a second career. He became a Master Wood Carver of wildfowl, birds and fish, receiving awards in both regional and national competitions. Chip enjoyed being in the outdoors – fishing, hunting and observing the inspirations for his carvings. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather who always put his family first.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathi Laudone.
Survivors are his sons, David Laudone (Wendy) and Chris Laudone (Rhonda);
daughter, Jennifer Daniel (Robert) and grandchildren, Meghan Johnson and Ryan
Johnson.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2018, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with
Monsignor Al Humbrecht officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 6
p.m. before the service in the downstairs hall at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital.
