Virginia Hodges

Virginia Lawson Hodges, 91, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018. Mrs. Hodges was the daughter of the late William A and Alice Lawson of Chattanooga. She was a member of Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church, where her family was one of the first families of the church. The church was established in 1905 with a full-time pastor in 1936. She worked tor TVA and retired after 35 years. After retirement, she and her husband traveled the world with close friends. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Milton “Prexy” Hodges and her sister, June “BJ” Lambert. She is survived by her niece, Alicia Lambert Hilton. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 26, at Lane Funeral Home on Ashland Terrace. The Funeral service will follow in the chapel with Reverend Grady Davidson officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lookout Valley Presbyterian Building Fund, 435 Patton Chapel Road, Chattanooga, Tenn. 37419.
