Mary Bell Brown

Mary Bell Brown, 85, passed on March 16, 2018. She was a graduate of Howard High School in the “Class of 1951”. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Carrie Brown; brother, George Brown Jr. Survivors include her daughter, Marva Brown Taylor; god-daughters, Della Barney, Jacksonville, Fla., Glenda (Norris) Morris, Antioch, Tenn.; god-grandson, Maurice (Atitqua) Robinson, Hephzibah, Ga.; great-granddaughters, Dashinaye and Jadienna Robinson, Hephzibah, Ga., great-great-granddaughter, Sa-Layiah Screws. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018, at Prospect Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Jay P. Trimble officiating. Interment: Lakewood East. The body will lie-in-state after noon Thursday, March 22, and the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995
