Viola Simpson

Viola McKenzie Simpson, 82, quietly passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, at her home. She was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 48 years, Charles Simpson. A successful business woman, Mrs. Simpson, owned and operated "Simpson's Beauty Salon" which flourished for a remarkable 57 years! She was a dedicated member of Warren Chapel A.M.E. Church. She leaves to cherish her memory a superbly devoted son, Barry Simpson; a loving daughter, Joycelyn Harrison; and loving stepchildren, Patricia Ziegler, Charles Simpson, and Jean Shropshire. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. Mrs. Simpson leaves a rich legacy of love, service, respect and dignity for all. She will be missed but never forgotten. A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Warren Chapel AMD Church, and the family receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon prior to the service at the church.
