Ionie Merciers

HIGDON — Ionie Coulter Merciers, 86, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Pruitt Health Care of Fort Oglethorpe. Funeral services are Friday at 3 p.m. ET at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Eulogy by Robert Merciers, officiating, Rev. Frankie Carroll.  Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. ET until service time.  Survivors include daughter, April Rayburn (Steven); sons, Stephen Merciers (Nancy), Robert Merciers (Anita), Tim Merciers; sister, Ruth Spurgeon; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Merciers was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Minnie Mae Walker Coulter; husband, Harvey Doyle Merciers; sisters, Rachel Maxwell, Sadie Lee Coulter, Marie Wigley; brothers, Frances Sidney Coulter, Ralph Coulter Jr.; stepsons, Doyle Merciers Jr., Rick Merciers; and a great-grandchild.
