Lillian Haynes

KIMBALL — Anna Lillian Cooley Haynes, former resident of Kimball, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro. Lillian was born July 27, 1925, in Jasper, Tenn., to William O. Cooley and Ethel Mae Graham Cooley. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence “Jip” Haynes; and brother, James Cooley. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Lawrence “Larry” and Sarah Haynes, Steve and Sandy Haynes, all of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two grandsons and their wives, Lawrence “Sunny” and Erin Haynes, of Conway, Ark., Nicholas and Lindsey Haynes, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two great-granddaughters, Etta and Anna Haynes, of Conway, Ark.; and one great-grandson, Slade Haynes, of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Lillian worked for over 40 years at South Pittsburg Knitting Mill, was a member of Kimball Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. CDT, Friday, May 25, 2018, at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, Jasper. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro, Building Fund.
