Gilbert Lee McCullough

Gilbert Lee McCullough, 70, of Sale Creek, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at his home. In his younger years he raced at the Brainerd Optimist Club and was a huge NASCAR fan. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and loved road trips with his wife. His parents, Harry and Selena McCullough; siblings, Frances and Eddie McCullough preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Graham McCullough, of Sale Creek; brother, Burton McCullough, of Knoxville; daughters, Sherry McCullough and Crystal McCullough, DeAnn (Glenn) Broom and Stacy (Scott) Patton, all of Dayton; son, Robert (Janice) Wilson, of Sale Creek; six grandson, one granddaughter; three great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Varner Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
