Floyd Boring

Floyd Boring, 73, of East Ridge, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 17, 2018. Throughout the years Floyd enjoyed bike riding, riding jet skis, and fishing. He enjoyed rebuilding Volkswagen engines and was very mechanically talented. He could just about fix anything and was always willing to lend a hand and help anyone. Most recently he began exercising and socializing with friends at the Brainerd Baptist BX. He also enjoyed hosting cook-outs at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemoual and Roselle Boring; and two brothers, Kenneth and James Boring. Left behind to cherish Floyd’s memory are his son, Steve (Rhonda) Spence; grandchildren, Madison and Hunter Spence; one brother, Doyle (Gayle) Boring; sister-in-law, Peggy Boring; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. A Celebration of Floyd’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Waylon Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
