Silvester Wright

Silvester Emanuel Wright (also known as Blue, Sil and Weechie), 72, of Chattanooga, Tenn., passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruthie Mae “Little Bit” McPherson Appling; sisters, Hiawatha Joyce “Pie” Appling Scott, LaLonnie Wanda Faye Baker Boyd, (brother) Timothy Avery “Pepper” McPherson and (sister) Retonga Lee “Tommie” Wright Smith. Emanuel was loved by many and leaves behind two daughters, Kandice Wright and Keona (Anthony) Graves; one granddaughter, Zoe’ Graves; one brother, Willie (Ronda Chapmon) Appling; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A graveside memorial service will be held in his honor on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery, 1200 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37404, with Rev. James Washington Jr. officiating.
