Davin Valencia

Davin James Valencia, 13, of Ooltewah, Tenn., passed away on Sept. 8, 2018. He was born on Jan. 13, 2005, in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to Anthony and Cristina Valencia. Davin has lived in Chattanooga for the past four years, after moving here from Alabama. He was a very sweet, kind, and honest boy who never met a stranger. He loved space and science technology, as well as playing video games. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Ruth Jeanine Miller. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Anthony and Cristina Valencia; grandparents, Michael and Beverly Dyer, George Valencia, and Darlene Walls; great-grandmother, Ruth Mason; brothers, Ayden Valencia and Austin Matthews; sisters, Audry Valencia and Chelsey Valencia; aunt, Kim Cook and very special cousins, Marlee Bush, Maci Battles, Ricki Smith, Wil Miller, and Cole Miller. In addition to these, Davin leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 13, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Harrision Bay Ward located at 3067 Ooltewah Ringgold Road, Ooltewah, TN 37363. A service will follow the visitation at 6 p.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Kinerd Cemetery in West Blocton, Ala.
