Dorothy “Dot” Virginia Redmond Dorothy “Dot” Redmond, 92, of Soddy-Daisy, passed peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2019. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was very active in the community throughout her life. Dot was loved by all and will be deeply missed by so many. She was preceded in death by her parents; Walter and Minnie McAfee; husband, John Arthur Redmond; son, Charles Ronald Johnson; sister, Helen Curvin; and brothers, Walter McAfee Jr. and Arnold Fuller. Survivors include Dot’s grandson, Todd (Rhonda) Johnson; granddaughter, Stacy (Tim) Ivey; and great-grandsons, Charles M. Johnson and Justin Byrum. The family will receive close friends and family on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Don Kelley officiating.
