Mary Hurt

Mary Hurt, 88, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019. She was born on June 8, 1931, a daughter of the late Rev. Henry and Banni Brandenburg. Mrs. Hurt was of the Baptist faith and was retired from Standard Coosa Thatcher after several years of service. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Ruby Faultner, Shirley Hyden and Grace Grey; a brother, Charlie Brandenburg; and her loving husband, Harold S. Hurt. Survivors are sons, Dennis (Darlene) Hurt, Michael (Sara) Hurt; three grandchildren Angela Quarles, James Hurt and Lyndsay Hurt; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bliss Brandenburg and Jimmy Brandenburg; two sisters, Sara Fishback and Jewel Campbell; 19 nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bro. James Barker officiating. Visit www.Heritagebattlefield.com to share words of comfort with the family.
