Charlton Smith

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Charlton Robert Smith, I, 47, went to his heavenly home where he was reunited with his grandparents, James and Mary Anderson, and Wesley Smith. Charlton was born Aug. 20, 1971, in Jacksonville, Fla., at the Naval Hospital. Charlton was employed with Distribution International. A graduate of South Charleston High School and an avid Star Wars fan. He is survived by his children, Mariyah Hudson, of Nitro, Rebekah Martin, of South Charleston, Alyssa Smith, Charlton “Robbie” Smith, II, and Genevah “Gracie” Smith; four grandchildren; and one on the way, mother, Sandra Smith, of South Charleston; father, Paul Smith, of Dunbar; brother, Wesley Smith, of Griffithsville; half siblings, Lisa Applegarth, Paul Smith and Travis Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of Charlton’s life will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Jamie Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St Albans.
