Perry Starkey

SOUTH PITTSBURG — Perry Starkey, a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, gained his wings to heaven on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019. Perry was 62 years old and a lifetime member of the South Pittsburg, Tenn., community. His spent his career being self-employed in detailing automobiles. Perry was a member of the Unity Community Church in South Pittsburg, Tenn. Perry was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Green; son, Markus Starkey; brother, Avery Green; and sister, Wendy Hale. To carry on his legacy are his beloved wife, Deborah Starkey; sons, Timothy (Kasey) Starkey and Myron Baker; daughters, Valerie Trimew and Charlotte Trimew; brothers, George, Calvin and Charles Green; sisters, Flo Green, Lajuania (Jimmy) Lovelady, Tammy Lankford, Goivonne Johnson; several nieces and nephews along with a host of grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tenn., on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, from noon CST to 2 p.m. CST. Funeral will follow immediately at 2 p.m. CST in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Pastor George Green officiating. Perry will be laid to rest at Anderson Cemetery in Jasper, Tenn.
