Carolyn Ledford

Carolyn Sue Woody Ledford, 68, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019, in a local hospital. She attended First Baptist Church of Georgetown. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She loved visiting the mountains especially, Cades Cove. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Annie Baker Woody and siblings, JoAnn Goforth, Pasty Tankersly, Ervin Woody and Edward Woody. She is survived by her husband David Lee Ledford of Georgetown, Tenn.; children, Amy Dawn Green (Mike) of Georgetown, Tenn., and Ashley Danielle Stamps (Paul) of Eddy, TX; grandchildren, Robbie Dale Garren, Jr., of Dalton, Ga., Christian Blake Garren of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Aidan Dean Stamps of TX; sister, Shirley Marie Woody Smith (Eddie Leon) of Georgetown, Tenn., and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2019 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Daniel Ziegenmier officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 2 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Robbie Garren, Blake Garren, Paul Stamps, David Tankersly, Danny Ledford and Timmy Ledford serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
