Edna Copeland

CHICKAMAUGA — Edna Mae Tinsley Copeland, 99, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 22, 2019. She was born to the late Edward Walter and Effie Estell Black Tinsley in Colburn, Ala., raised in Fort Payne and has lived in Chickamauga since 2001. Edna was a member of Shields Baptist Church and the Eastern Star, Martha Chapter. She was a loving grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and aunt, who will be greatly missed. Edna was also preceded in death by her husband, Randolph Wayne Copeland; son, Dewayne Copeland; brothers, Charles Tinsley, Carson Tinsley, Louis Tinsley, Zelton Tinsley and JD Tinsley; sisters, Viola Smith and Gladys Horton. Edna is survived by her grandsons, Ricky (Carla) Copeland and Danny Copeland; sister, Audrey Hightower; daughters-in-law, Vicki Copeland and Sadie Copeland; step-grandson, Deron Gore; great-grandchildren, Salina Copeland and Sharissa Copeland; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2019, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Tony Vona and Pastor Bill Proctor officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Collinsville, AL. The family will receive friend from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday and prior to the service on Friday. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home-J.
