Elizabeth Papson

Elizabeth “Beth” Papson was called home by Our Lord and Savior on May 27, 2019. Born April 10, 1949 to Edward and Dorothea “Dot” Papson she was preceded in death by them and her husband Charles “Chuck” Polk and sister in law Phyllis Papson. She is survived by her sister Drue Papson Cain, husband Lewis Cain, and her brother Edward “Tom” Papson Jr. In addition, she is survived by her stepchildren Charles “Chas” E Polk Jr., Stacy and Danny Coleman, Stephanie and Randy Morris, Karen and Jason Privett, and Cynthia and Bryan Fallowfield. Her family also included nieces and nephews Chris and Stacey Cain, Will and Julie Cain, Daniel Cain, Mena Papson, Minda Papson, and Phillip “PT” and Aimee Papson. With many great nieces and nephews. A lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn., she was a Registered Nurse with a degree earned in 1970 from Fort Sanders Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Knoxville, Tenn. Visitation will be from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday June 4, 2019, at Advantage Funeral Home located at 1724 McCallie Avenue in Chattanooga, Tenn. Services to follow promptly at 2:00 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Dr. Thomas Quisenberry presiding.
