Nanna Turner

SOUTH PITTSBURG — Nanna Lee Gray Blevins Turner, 84, died Saturday, June 1, 2019. She was a longtime member of Long Island Baptist Church and worked for several years as a teller for First Bank of Marion County. She loved gardening and was especially gifted with flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her father, King Henry Gray, mother and stepfather, Annie Laura Moore Gray Peoples and Willie Leroy “Todd” Peoples, husband, Paul W. Turner, and sister, Carolyn Bynum. She is survived by her son, Steve Blevins, of Portland, Tenn.; sister, Betty Crabtree-Hill, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; granddaughter, Allison Blevins, of White House, Tenn.; grandson, Todd (Shaina) Blevins, of Portland, Tenn.; great-grandsons, Aidan Blevins and Ian Blevins; step-children, Betty Turner Kane, Amy Turner Burns, Nancy Ann Hookey, Paul Turner, and Richard Turner; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 with Rev. David Marona, officiating. Interment will follow at James Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until service time.
