Betty Sue Whitley

Betty Sue Groover Whitley, 66, of East Ridge, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in a local hospital. She was a member of Sand Mountain United Methodist Church. Betty had worked for Coca Cola, Synthetic Industries, Unum and Kenco Trucking Logistics. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.S. and Mary Groover. Survivors include her husband, Calvin T. Whitley; Sons, Chris Williams and his wife, Heather and Brandon Whitley and his wife, Trisha all of Chickamauga, Ga.; sister, Teresa Stanbery and her husband Charlie, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; four grandchildren, Skylar Williams, Landon Williams, Colton Baker and Zander Whitley; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 S. Moore Road with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Burial will be in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens in Trenton, GA with family members serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
