Janet Wade

Janet Emily Lytle Wade, 74, passed away on Saturday afternoon, May 25, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. She was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, to missionary parents serving near Lima, Peru, under the Independent Bible Presbyterian Mission Board from 1943-53. Janet lived in Chattanooga since 1961, married James Huston Wade in 1971, and helped continue the Christian heritage her parents had given her (Ps. 127). She was a faithful member of Covenant Presbyterian (PCA) and worked at Precept Ministries from 1982-2008. Mrs. Wade was preceded in death by Philip and Emily Lytle, parents, and Huston Wade, husband. She is survived by Phyllis Massey, Kenneth (Hope) Lytle, and Steven (Paula) Lytle, siblings; Mark (Deanna) Wade, Karen (Terry) Plemons, Philip (Sarah) Wade, and Sara Beth Wade, children; and nine grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Pastors John Jones and Eric Mullinax officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, East. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Missions Board at Covenant Presbyterian Church (www.cpcchatt.org).
