Desma Scoggins

Desma R. Scoggins, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010.Mrs. Scoggins was born in Hamilton County, to George and Zora Butcher. She was a 1954 graduate of Central High School and of the Baptist faith. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Tommy H. Scoggins; sons, Tommy E. Scoggins and his wife, Shirley, Jeffrey A. Scoggins and Brian L. Scoggins; granddaughter, Debra Scoggins; sister, Emily (Harvey) Camron; and several nephews and nieces.Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West, with Mr. Randy Stevens officiating.Memorial donations may be made be made to Avalon Hospice, 7625 Hamilton Park Drive, Suite 19, Chattanooga, TN 37421.Please share your thoughts and condolences at www.mem.com.Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S.
