Edna White - FLINTSTONE Edna Hughes White, 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, in an assisted living facility in Birmingham.She was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe and a former member of St. Elmo Avenue Baptist Church. She was a graduate of South Pittsburg High School.She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. White; her brothers, Gene Hughes and Johnny Hughes; her sisters, Esther Hughes and Jo Ridley.She is survived by two sons, David (Debbie) White, Atlanta; and Steve (Becky) White, Birmingham; and a daughter, Kristie (Greg) Jaffe, Arlington, Va.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Heritage Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.Condolences may be sent to www.heritagefh.com.Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Fort Oglethorpe.The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home, 3239 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe.
