Mikah J. Grant, 29, of Ooltewah, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, in drowning accident.A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a 2000 graduate of Ooltewah High School. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Wayne Grant; maternal grandfather, Arthur V. Francis; paternal grandfather, Rex A. Grant; and cousin, Wesley Grant.Survivors include his parents, Linda and Michael Grant, Ooltewah; sister and her husband, Sonya and Tony Hardin, Harrison; fiance, Courtney Pyle, Harrison; maternal grandmother, Margaret Francis, East Ridge; paternal grandmother, Betty J. Grant, Hixson; nephew, Clayton Hardin, Harrison; niece, Sierra Smith, Dade County, Ga.; several aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with family friend Donald Ingle officiating.Interment will be in Lusk Cemetery.Active pallbearers will be Brandon Pyle, Colin Pyle, Casey Carney, Nick Kauffelt, Jake Burkhart and Wade Barrett.Please share your thoughts and memories online at mem.com.The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
