Will Mack

Will Mack - SOUTH PITTSBURG William Gerald Mack, 21, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 19, 2010, while serving aboard the Submarine USS Nebraska. An active duty Sailor with the U.S. Navy, he graduated from Richard Hardy Memorial School, attended University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and was a former employee of both Stevarino's and Lotto Mart in South Pittsburg.Will was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Carl Mack. Will is survived by his parents, Gerald and Susan Mack, of South Pittsburg; sisters, Vanessa LaPaglia, of South Pittsburg and Dena Brackett, of Woodstock, Ga.; grandparents, Bill and Marie Steelman of Brentwood, Tenn. and Shirley Mack, of Monteagle, Tenn.; uncles and aunts, Jim and Patti Steelman, of Birmingham, Ala. and Edward and Brenda Steelman of Michigan; great-uncles and aunts, Bob and Marie Copeland, of Pomona, Calif., JD and Katherine Mullins, of Mulberry, Tenn., Maurice and Freda Allyn of Houston, Texas and Phil and Connie Flagg, of Westfield, Mass.; great-aunt, Mary Copeland, of Nashville; great-uncles, Frank Copeland, of Edenton, N.C. and Henry Beasley, of Springfield, Mo.; nieces, Hannah Brackett and Megan Brackett.Funeral services, officiated by Anthony Grills, will be held at Holly Avenue United Methodist Church in South Pittsburg on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. CDT.Interment will follow at 2 p.m. CDT in Booneville Cemetery near Lynchburg, Tenn.Visitation will be at Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg today, April 30, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. CDT.On Saturday, the body will lie in state at the church for two hours prior to the service.Condolences may be sent by visiting www.rogersfuneralhome.com.Memorial contributions may be made in Will's name to either the Richard Hardy Memorial School Library Fund c/o Pam Webb at 1620 Hamilton Ave., South Pittsburg, TN 37380 or to the Holly Avenue United Methodist Church Memorial Fund at P.O.
