Claude Hill

RINGGOLD Claude Lee "C.L." Hill Jr., 81, passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Hutcheson Medical Center following a long illness.He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, and seven years in the Korean War as a Paratrooper with 39 jumps. He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion. Mr. Hill was a devoted Husband, Daddy and Paw Paw who was loved by everyone that knew him. He was a loving and caring person who will be sadly missed by loved ones and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Lee Hill Sr. and Elizabeth Walker Hill; sister, Billie Walker; and brother, G.W. Hill.He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Frances Horton Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Richard Frazier, of Ringgold, stepdaughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bill Spearman, of Chattanooga; five grandchildren, Amanda, Doug, Corey, Alex and Aaron; several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. today at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Biggs officiating.Richard Frazier, Bill Spearman, Doug Hovater, Corey, Alex, and Aaron Spearman will serve as Pallbearers.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wilson Funeral Home.Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
