William Kilgore

FORT OGLETHORPE William Wayne "Billy" Kilgore, 63, passed away at his home on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010.He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas and was of the Church of God faith. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked as a Carpenter for most of his life. He was also an artist and will be sadly missed by all that knew him.He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Joe Kilgore.Survivors include his father, John B. Kilgore, of Sylvania, Ala.; mother, Bertha Mae Smith, of Rainsville, Ala.; son, Scott Kilgore, of Chattanooga; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda (Jack) Cameron, of Sylvania, Ala., and Charlotte (Donnie) Feagans, of Fort Oglethorpe; three grandchildren, Lacey, Ashton and Isabelle Kilgore; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, uncle and three aunts.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with the Rev. Mike Lowery and the Rev. Donald Feagans officiating.Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.The family will receive friends all day today and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.Arrangements by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
