Charles Buffat

Charles Alfred Buffat, 64, of Chattanooga, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010.Charlie earned Eagle Scout distinction in 1959 in the Great Smoky Mountain Council with troop 15 before graduating East High School in Knoxville, in 1963. He then attended ETSU before serving with the Air Force in Vietnam. Afterward he settled in Chattanooga working for Northside Lumber Company for two decades before opening Buffat and Buffat Custom Building Material, Soddy-Daisy.He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Hubert and Rosalie Buffat, Knoxville.Charlie is survived by his cherished wife, Joyce Rose Buffat; children, Carrie (Hunter) Brimi, Josh (Meghan) Buffat, Emily Buffat and Jordan Buffat; stepson, John Hunt; grandson, Corbin Buffat.Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev.
