BRIDGEPORT Robert Marshall "Bobby" ,"Mule" Holt, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Memorial Health System in Chattanooga.Bobby was the son of the late Joe Passley and Mary Allie Morgan Holt born Sept. 3, 1935 in Bridgeport. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. "Mule" had worked as a truck driver for Williams Bro. Oil Co. and Retired Chief of Bridgeport Police Department. He was a member of Alabama Association of Chiefs of Police and Bridgeport Church of Christ.Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, Josie Mashburn, J.P. Holt Jr., Morgan C. Holt, Christine Owens, Betty Moore, and James Harold Holt.Survivors include his wife of nearly 48 years, Edna Mae Smith Holt; special friends Joe Stovall and James Smith and a host of nieces and nephews.Visitation will be today 5-9 p.m. CST, Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, Ala.The funeral will be Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at 2 p.m. CST at the funeral home chapel officiated by Danny Radar, Roger Comstock and John ONeal.Interment will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport, Ala. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
