Clara Cate

Clara Letitia Cate, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010.Mrs. Cate was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo Martin Jackson and Frank Vincent Jackson; her husband of 54 years, William Lawrence "Larry" Cate; daughter, Judith Estelle Cate; four sisters; and three brothers.Survivors include two sons, Alan (Cheryl) Cate and Martin (Janice) Cate; daughter, Anne (Sergio) Siller; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Vincent (Fran) Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2010, followed by funeral services at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Curtis McKee officiating.Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Forest Hills Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Martin Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
