Clyde Iles

Clyde "Sug" Iles, 99, of Sale Creek, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.He was born on April 28, 1911, in Sale Creek.Clyde was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and later Sale Creek Baptist Church where he served as an active deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a lifelong farmer and avid fox hunter.Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nora Iles; two wives, Beatrice and Edith; four sisters, Blanch Shipley, Maude Thomas, Mary McNabb and Alphia Francisco; and three brothers, Bill, Roy and Coy Iles.He is survived by his son, Clyde R. (Patty) Iles; daughter, Betty (Johnny) Coulter; five grandchildren, Tony (Laurie) Iles, Michael (Lea Ann) Iles, Susan Iles, Linda (Billy) Daniels and Huey (Billy Jo) Coulter; seven great-grandchildren, Philip (Kim) and Matthew Iles, Jamison, Colton and Bethany Daniels, Carly Coulter and Dillon Osborn; several nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends today, July 21, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 22, in the funeral home chapel, with visitation at noon prior to the service.Interment will be in Welsh-Rogers Cemetery.Grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Special messages will be given by great-nephew, Tony Reavley, and great-grandson, Colton Daniels.The family wishes to extend a special thanks for the wonderful care that has been provided by the staff and employees at Life Care Center of Rhea County and appreciation for the care given by Dr. Bovine and Dr. Logan.Condolences and memories may be shared at www.williamsonandsons.com.Arrangements are by Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, 8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379.
