Imodine Stallings

LaFAYETTE Imodine Townsel Stallings, 80, of the Noble Community, went home to be with her Lord Monday, July 19, 2010. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and Christian Neighbor (friend) of Noble Community. She was born Jan. 22, 1930 in Crossville, Ala.Mrs. Stallings was preceded in death by her husband, William Travis Stallings; grandson, Anthony Sean Thompson; parents, Thomas M., and Plumer J. Townsel; sisters, Bonnie Mae Deadows, Jewel Lea; brothers, Johnny Townsel, Gordon Townsel and Aron Townsel.Survived by children: son, William Troy and wife, Sarah Stallings; daughters, Grenda Thompson, Tania and husband, Johnny Lea, all of LaFayette; grandsons, Terrell and wife, Jennifer Stallings, of Dalton, Brad Thompson, LaFayette, Jake Pendergraft, Heath Pendergraft, of Chattanooga; granddaughter, Miranda and husband, Zach Cagle and Lacie Thompson, of LaFayette; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Ty Stallings, of Dalton, Addison Cagle and Mason Thompson, of LaFayette; sister, Norma Dell Sears, of Rossville; brother, Barney Townsel, of Henagar, Ala.; sisters-in-law, Battie Colman, Nina Hughes and Winola Roden, of Rossville; several nieces, nephews and beloved friends also survive.Graveside service Thursday at 11 a.m. Service conducted by Rev. Fred Pursley. Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens.Family will receive friends at the funeral home home today from 6 to 8 p.m.The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, of LaFayette.
