Walter Clyde Heathington "Walt" 68 passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010, in a local health care facility.He was retired from EPB.He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Heathington and Jenniff Weaver; sister, Blondine Heathington.Survivors include his children, Jeffrey (Lenoria) Heathington, Demetruis Jones, Santora Johnson, Anthony Weems, Andrea Few, Sharilyn Sutton, Marilyn Heathington, Rhonda Weems and Katrina Jones; 16 grandchildren; sister, Carol Lynn Jennings; uncle, Clifford (Helen) Heathington; aunts, Beatrice Underwood, Juliette Gilbert, Lottie (Ken) Wilson, Euradell Heathington; devoted cousin, Roderick Heathington; a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends.Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, July 22, 2010, with Rev. Jimmie Ingram officiating at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.Interment in Highland Cemetery.The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
