Charles Addison

CHICKAMAUGA Charles B. Addison, 87, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at his residence.He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga, North Georgia area and a member of New Beginning Baptist Church. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII with the 693 Ordinance Ammunition Company that landed on Okinawa Easter Sunday 1945. He worked in the mechanical contracting profession for 62 years. Charles often expressed his love and appreciation for his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Charles was preceded in death by parents, Lt. Col. William and Lila Mae Addison Sr.; sister, Kathrine Callaway; and twin brothers, Stephen and William Addison Jr.Mr. Addison is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances Addison; daughter, Lila Lesley, Chickamauga; sons, Andy (Cathy), Ringgold, Lewis (Susan) Addison, Chattanooga; grandchildren, Col. Jim (LeAnn) Ekvall, Noelle (Lt. Col. Gordon) Snodgrass, Amelia (Lee) Rushton, Glenn (Jennifer) Addison, Matt (Mandy) Addison, Zach and Victoria Addison.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Cordell and Dr. Mack Hannah officiating.Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery.Visit www.heritagefh.com to share words of comfort with the family.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Beginning Baptist Church, P.O.
